Disney Princess Gloves

Well....we had winter the other day, the temperature plummeted to minus five celsius and white flakes fell from the sky, we ran across the street and borrowed a sled and headed out to the local hill where the mud from last weeks monsoons had frozen over and was covered with a thin layer of wet white snow. This lasted about an hour until the Disney Princess Gloves (you know...the white ones with the faux fur trim) became saturated.
Oh well, time to head home and dream about the rain while I shovel all three centimeters of this stuff with the borrowed shovel.
Can't wait till Winter next year!

Grandparents Day

I love this photo of Iz and her great-grandmother taken at her preschool's concert and sit down tea for grandparents. My grandparents represented unconditional love to me as a child and this, well this is full circle. My heart lives here, my soul is free, please take care of me. -S.

Trick or Treat

The kids had a blast this Halloween. We finally managed to get Joey to agree to try on his costume. Oh the power of candy. Isabella has been wearing her costume daily for about 6 weeks now! The kids joined other neighbourhood kids and ventured door to door for about an hour and a half! Joey refused to give up and leave his sister until he was a lump on the sidewalk and had to be carried home, and of course the costume he didn't want to wear in the first place was his preferred jammies.
